Lore

The Black Lightning Flotilla is headquartered on the Destroyer RXS Lightning. The Flotilla is made up of old Corporate Security vessels retrofitted with even older orbital weapons and ground support equipment.

Led by Captain Rex, a mysterious, always-armored and helmeted man who founded the Flotilla after serving as an Ensign onboard a defense ship at the fall of Armitage. After the fall, when the forces of Armitage were spread to the trade lanes, Rex stayed together with a small group of former Armitage ships. They picked up odd jobs here and there, clearing out pirate stations, hunting down wanted criminals, escorting cargo, but eventually Rex suggested they should establish a proper business. The rest of the group readily agreed, and the Black Lightning Flotilla was born. They began to accrue a reputation for ruthless pirate hunting along some of the galaxy's most dangerous trade lanes. From defending mineral convoys to escorting spice smugglers, they became respected as some of the best in their trade. Lately, they have been working alongside ARMCO, with the ultimate goal of reclaiming their home, Armitage.

History

The RXS Lightning fought in the battle of Haven, did long range supply chain protection during the Lussan operation. Thunderbolt Recon was part of Battlegroup Rabbit during the Titan operation.
