The Shweres-Sturmbataillon has been the result of the reformation of the Aufklärungsbataillon, formerly a primarily scouting-based unit. Combat experience with a large force has heralded the change from light, stealthy units to heavily armed and armored infantry with significant AT weapon support. Notably because the phrase "The BUGS are back" followed by the LooksMadMaxxers dying horrifically was a pretty bad thing to happen and High Command wanted to make sure that didn't happen again.

This German unit was originally part of a joint Earth-based colonization program, but when the planet they landed on turned to poverty, the unit left to find money in mercenary work.

== History ==

Previously, this company sent down a squad of Aufklärer to assist in the capture of the dictator Yos Eldra, which was a success. During this mission, the Aufklärer partnered with the units Zayda-33, the LooksMadMaxxers, and the Phoenix Ward. This group, referred to as "The Gang," was an exploratory force to the strange labs north of FOB Raiju (See Operation Tornado), where relic tech and bugs were found. The LooksMadMaxxers perished in the ensuing fight. Afterwards, the remnants of the gang safely evaced to the Endurance.
